To be a cannabis restaurant, you have to be open for the greater part of the day – 7 days a week. During this time, you are not allowed to smoke. On the other hand, you have to have a menu that is specific to cannabis and that you have to be able to explain to customers what they can order. There is also the problem of if you’re in the restaurant as a customer, you may not be able to smoke.
The point of this story is that cannabis lovers are having a hard time finding places to get their fix. A Colorado marijuana dispensary, which is run by the state, has had trouble getting customers to order cannabis. The state’s dispensary is now working on a solution, which is going to be announced in next year’s legislative session.
That is an interesting solution, but if we have to wait for another legislative session, it means the state is now going to have to be more involved in the business. This is the same argument that was made with the state’s effort to legalize alcohol. The state did not want to take the risk of having to control the alcohol industry.
