I would recommend using the clip attachment to hold the weed wacker. On my second attempt, I ended up getting a bit off balance with it and had to give up. I’m not sure if it would be as effective if you were trying to use it on a flat surface, but it might be worth a try.
This is actually a problem with the clip attachment. The clip can be fairly slippery when you’re using it on a flat surface, but if you’re going to use it for anything other than holding something steady, use the wheel attachment.

Ok, I can see the appeal, but Ive seen too many people use the clip attachment and not be able to use it (especially on a flat surface) unless youre lying on the ground.
